The old back porch (mostly original to the house) was starting to fail. The floorboards were soft under the posts, and the roof had fallen on one side. We constructed temporary supports for the roof, removed all the old decking, framing, posts, and foundation columns (which weren't a proper foundation) and rebuilt in the same footprint with a proper foundation - reusing the old blocks to create a facade in front of the new foundation to make everything look original.
